How to Choose Your Mantis Racket Grip Size

If you’re unsure, you can measure your grip size using a ruler or tape measure from the crease of your palm to the tip of your ring finger.

  • Lay your hand flat with your fingers together and thumb relaxed.
  • Line up a ruler with the bottom crease of your palm.
  • Measure to the tip of your ring finger.

You can also check the grip size of your current racket by looking at the number on the bottom of the handle.

Choosing a Grip Size

If you're between sizes, choose the smaller size and add an overgrip to increase the grip size.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes Mantis rackets different from other brands?

Mantis rackets are designed specifically for the "committed amateur," offering high-performance at an affordable price. Our rackets are handmade, ensuring precision and consistency, and come with customizable options for grip size, design, weight, and stringing to perfectly match your play style

How do I choose the right grip size?

Grip size is crucial for comfort and control. We offer three sizes to fit different hand sizes:

  • Grip 2: Standard
  • Grip 3: Medium
  • Grip 4: Large

If you're unsure, it’s always best to try out rackets with different grip sizes in person, but if that's not possible, we recommend measuring the circumference of your hand and referring to a sizing guide.

How do the stringing options work?

We offer three stringing options:

  • Recommended Stringing: Using our pre-selected Mantis strings and strung at a suitable tension for this racket.
  • Customised Strings: Select from the full range of Mantis strings with customizable tensions.
  • Unstrung: No extra cost.

All rackets are strung by Tom, our 'Master Stringer', in our UK facility

What is the lead time for custom stringing and weight options?

Custom stringing may add extra time to your delivery. Generally, stringing takes an additional 1-2 days to complete.

Recommended strings and unstrung options won't add any time to the delivery

Can I return or exchange my racket if I’m not satisfied?

We want you to love your Mantis racket! If you're not completely satisfied, you can return or exchange it within 30 days of purchase, provided it’s in unused condition. Please check our Return & Exchange Policy for more details.
