Who Is Joaquin?

"I grew up in Buenos Aires, where my love for tennis began at age five—hitting countless balls against a wall at my local club. From that moment on, the sport became my passion and my purpose.

"As a kid, I split my time between tennis and soccer, but by age 12 I made the decision to dedicate myself fully to tennis. Throughout my junior career, I consistently ranked among the top 30 players nationally across all age groups, reaching a career-high of No. 9 in Argentina in the U17 category.

"My dream has always been to compete at the highest level of the sport. But at 18, I realized that without the financial resources to travel full-time, I needed a different path. That led me to the United States, where I pursued college tennis while earning my education. I competed in both NCAA Division I and Division II tennis, becoming a two-time All-American in singles and reaching a national ranking of No. 5 in Division II.

"I recently completed my MBA and spent the past year coaching tennis to fund the beginning of my professional journey. Through all the challenges, my goals never changed. The dream stayed alive.

"In September 2025, after more than a year of coaching, I finally started competing again—this time on the professional tour. Every tournament, every match, and every point is part of building my ATP ranking in both singles and doubles.

"My journey has officially begun. One tournament at a time, I’m chasing my dream of reaching the Grand Slams—and I’m grateful to have Mantis as part of the team."
