Tennis Racket Stringing at Mantis
Professionally strung. Individually prepared. Ready for your game.
Your strings are the part of your racket that makes contact with the ball, so they deserve as much attention as the frame itself. The string you choose, the tension you play with and the quality of the stringing all contribute to how your racket feels and performs.
At Mantis, we take that seriously. Every tennis racket arrives from our supplier unstrung. Our professionally qualified stringing team then works on each racket individually at our warehouse, preparing it with the care your equipment deserves.
Expert hands, precise equipment
Our stringing expertise includes Tom, our qualified Master Stringer. We use state-of-the-art professional stringing equipment that is regularly calibrated to keep tension settings accurate and deliver consistent results. Whether you choose our recommended setup or specify your own, your racket receives the same professional attention.
Choose your stringing option
When ordering your Mantis tennis racket, you can choose Recommended, Custom or Unstrung.
Recommended: let us take care of the setup
If you’re want our suggestion or are unsure which strings or tension to choose, our recommended option is a straightforward place to start.
We use a pre-selected Mantis string and a tension suited to your chosen racket. This gives you a considered setup that complements the frame, without needing to work through the technical details yourself.
It’s a good choice if you’re buying your first Mantis racket, don’t have an established string preference or simply want to leave the decision to our team. Your racket arrives strung and ready to play.
Custom: choose your strings and tension
Already know what you like? Our custom option lets you select your preferred string from the Mantis range and choose your stringing tension on the product page.
This gives you more control over the feel of your new racket. You might want to keep a familiar setup, explore a different string or adjust the tension to suit your preferences.
String choice and tension work together. A softer string can offer a more cushioned feel, while a firmer string produces a different response. Lower tensions generally offer easier power and a softer feel; higher tensions generally produce a firmer response. The right combination depends on your racket, swing and personal preference.
If you’re considering a change, our team can help you choose a sensible starting point. Custom stringing usually adds an additional one to two days to preparation, so please allow for this when ordering.
Unstrung: use your own stringer
Prefer to have your racket prepared by your local coach, club or regular stringer? Choose Unstrung and we’ll send your racket without strings fitted, ready for them to install your preferred setup.
