I’m Mantis. We craft tennis rackets with an almost obsessive devotion to detail. Let me take you inside our world—into every beam, every fibre, every finish.

The Heart of Our Craft

Our Pro Series rackets, like the Pro 310 v4 ‘Phantom’, are designed with meticulous precision. From the very start, our mission has been clear: pinpoint control and surgical accuracy for the committed amateur. It’s why the Pro 310 weighs in at a hefty 310 grams, built to resist torsion and deliver stability when every swing matters.

Here’s how we bring that to life:

THERMOCORE FUSION™ – One Seamless Structure

We use THERMOCORE FUSION™, a resin-infused process run at extremely high temperatures. The goal? A true fusion of carbon and resin—no hidden voids, no inconsistent frames. With tighter production tolerances, each racket feels as predictably solid as the last. You wouldn’t believe how much difference removing microscopic voids makes—to both feel and performance.

PRECISIONCRAFT™ – Hand-Layup, Hand-Checked

Even with high-tech resin processes, we honour old-school artistry through PRECISIONCRAFT™. That means every racket’s lay-up of carbon fibres is done by hand, aligned with intention to control stiffness, flex, torsional strength. Every lay-up is visually inspected. Every fibre orientation is strategic—never left to automation.

From Structure to Surface – Every Millimetre Matters

Once the structure’s ready, we move to finishing:

  • Surface preparation is handled with care so aerodynamic shaping isn't compromised.

  • Paint and coatings are layered under strict control.

  • Sanding and smoothing are ultra-fine to preserve both airflow and feel.

  • Cosmetic decals? Placed by hand, aligned to within ± 0.25 mm tolerance.

When you look at a Pro 310 ‘Phantom’—stealth satin finish, low-profile branding—you’re witnessing craftsmanship, not mass-marketing.

Materials, Testing, and Partnerships

We don’t stop at rackets. Every Mantis product is built to the highest standards with premium materials—from modulus carbon fibre in the frames to the woven felt on the balls, even to the self-locking zips on our bags. Every detail serves a purpose.

Our partners share our obsession:

  • A Taiwanese factory, belonging to a family producing over half the world's frames—but each Mantis racket is still handmade, not assembly-line churned.

  • A family-run business in Thailand, crafting more than 100 million tennis balls annually, yet held to our tough standards.

The Minds Behind the Craft

Meet our team:

  • Alan, based in Taiwan, 40+ years crafting rackets. Tradition. Care. Nothing automated.

  • Martin, product designer from London with 25+ years in racket innovation; formerly heading global development at Dunlop. His vision: premium quality for serious amateurs—not only the pros.

  • Isaiah, Creative Director in New York. He redefines tennis aesthetics, offering two distinct looks for each racket model, so you don’t blend in.

  • Tom, based in the UK, stringing perfectionist and master stringer. Every racket’s strings are set up as if they were his own.

Why We Do It

Because we believe committed amateurs—players who love the game and grind to improve—deserve elite-level gear. We strip out sponsorship costs and inflated pricing, instead focusing on substance: obsessive engineering, exacting materials, hands-on craftsmanship—all at a fair price. Tennis should be accessible, not compromised.

When you pick up a Mantis racket—every ounce of that grip, every stitch of that finish—it’s not just sport equipment. It’s our craft in your hand. Relish the detail.
